Bidrage med feedbackMy favorite restaurant in DC. Young Chef Johnny Monis serves Mediterranean food inspired by summers spent in his parents’ native Greece. No longer offering an a la carte menu, diners choose first and second courses from the menu before enjoying a parade of small dishes. Past favorites have included watermelon and feta, and dates filled with mascarpone and served warm with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. Alas, it’s tough to get a reservation and there’s no bar for a pre- or post-dinner drink. Stlil, it’s one of the best spots in town. Chef Monis is a rising star. Catch him while you can.
