Hank's Oyster Bar - Dupont

We have half a dozen oysters, all different species (two of the western costs, and 4 of the east coast). All were amazing. Then we tried the braided short ribs, with a zeasarsalate and the Mac and cheese. The Zeasar was exactly that, and the braided short ribs were fantastic. Very tasty and delicate. The Mac and the cheese are perhaps the best I ever had. Beautiful cheese mix that actually has a great taste, the dish was flat with a crispy crumb above, which means that I have a few crumbs in every bite. Everything was delicious.

Great experience in DC for a vacation and I enjoyed it.

Food and service were good but the menu selections are not overly large; and, I don't know if we have been to another restaurant (in memory) that serves no dessert, !

We just landed ... headed to Hank’s... decompressed over oysters and a nice Rose ... great attention to our needs ... including selection suggestions AND the charging of my phone ... a very nice way to begin the weekend.
