Bidrage med feedbackI love when I stumble upon a great new bar! My friends and I randomly came into this spot over the weekend after brunch and were so pleasantly surprised by the amazing service, warm decor and the very very good cocktails. Espresso martinis were phenomenal and our bartender (Herraro? was so personable. Ambiance and quality make this great for a happy hour or date night. I’ll have to be back to try some food!
Phenomenal dinner and a great place to celebrate special occasions. The ambience, music, decoration and taste of the food and great service all came together perfectly. Everything is definitely more on the expensive side, but the taste was worth it. I think the espresso martini is overhyped, it’s on the strong side and doesn’t have any sweetness to it but it did have a little delicateness to it with the foam and shaved chocolate. The mushroom risotto is one of the best risottos I’ve ever had and I’m from Italy so that’s saying something! I suggest grabbing 1-2 smaller plates and splitting an entree, to get a variety of flavors to fill up on. Their layered chocolate bar cake was insanely good to finish off the night!I will be suggesting this restaurant to anyone visiting the DC area!
Love, love the food and drinks. You won't regret it. Everything was on point and delicious. My favorite was the burrata and risotto. The only suggestion is to improve in the service. The host checking you in does not make you feel welcome. We were running a few minutes late to our reservation, so we called the restaurant to change it. When we arrived they asked us to please leave in an hour because they were waiting for more reservations. The restaurant was half empty even when we left. I don't understand why they limited our time for nothing. The waitress was rushing us at all times since we arrived.
The food here is phenomenal. Their drinks we very good. The ambiance was great. It's really busy, so don't be in a rush. But it's really worth the wait. Our server was very personable. The only reason I'm giving it 3 and not 5 stars is because of the 20% service fee they add. No, it's not a tip. I still had to leave a tip separate from the service fee. I'm so salty about these service fees that I never return no matter how great my experience is. These restaurants should not make it the patrons' responsibility to pay for their employees' wages, as they claim the service fee is for. I already tip them 22%.
Went to Residents on a Friday night parking was relatively easy.Service was great, server was really helpful with dietary restrictions and food allergies. For appetizers, the fries, mini gyros, and cauliflower nuggets were delicious! I got the braised short ribs, which was a perfect fall/ winter meal not too heavy but definitely filling! The decor was just like you see online, absolutely beautiful. The stairs could be a challenge for some if you didn’t book downstairs or the heated patio. A beautiful spot for a girls night or date night.
