The food was excellent. Dishes that sound plain, like an omelet, really come alive at this wonderful Spanish tapas place. I think my party had eight dishes and each one was good and quite distinct. The service was a bit slow and they seemed a little short staffed, though today who isn't.Vegetarian options: They had numerous vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Neighborhood feel quite a few families.
Booked our table in advance the restaurant was full of diners. 4.8 review took us there to savour Mexican cuisine. We arranged a roadside table to sit. Drinks to start with took a while. Then Grilled Octopus, Pattatas brava, Tortia Espanola, and other exotic dishes came in and each was superb. New stuff for us. The mushrooms grill was very nice. As the full moon came up in the sky, we ordered desserts to end the evening. Earlier a few raindrops fell from a passing cloud. Parking we saw is by the road. The restaurant is a casually formal place outdoing it’s neighbouring outlets. Cost for us was 45 per person including drinks. You can use a wheel chair there too. Saw guests with children and families. Spanish is the popular language. While in DC city centre try this place about 15 minutes of Uber away.
We love coming here! Everything is delicious and the staff is wonderful. We are gluten free and dainty free and find lots of wonderful Spanish options for us. If you live in petworth or nearby this is a great place to come with a group, for a date night, or time with your family, even young kids. Don't hesitate!
This might be my favorite restaurant in DC. There's no frills but the service is always incredibly friendly and the food is phenomenal. The Gambas Al Ajillo may be one of my favorite dishes in the city and the chicken was the surprise dish for me- I can't believe how good it is.This is the type of restaurant that I debate telling people about because I love the neighborhood home in the wall vibe, but it's that good.Don't walk but run to Atxondo, best Spanish food in the city by far.
