Marty's Cafe - Washington

I had the coffee only, which is very good. Interesting menu that misses some of the basics like a bacon egg and cheese sandwich.

Nice cozy local hangout. Great sandwiches. If you eat inside you get waiter service. If you want to eat outside, you need to wait on the line and order at the counter. Then when it?s ready they bring it to your table. And bring your dog. They havenice meals for dogs only $2. But the wait is long. Even the line to the toilet is long.

Came for breakfast with my 3 boys. Food was good and waitstaff was attentive. My only knock would be portion size. My three hungry teen boys were nowhere near full ... and we ate again shortly after. Nice to have a place like this available inWashington Depot. Compliments the area and Hickory Stick bookstore next door. Edit 8/16/22 Added another star b/c teensappetite is not a measure of a businesses excellent product. AND .... I love owners that are engaged on Google and respond!

My sister is a huge Gilmore Girls fan so we stopped in Washington for part of the day to see all the GG spots. (Visiting from GA) Loved this spot for a quick lunch! The steak salad was delicious. Staff was friendly. Price was great too! I only wish I hadtasted one of their dessert choices! Highly recommend this spot!

One of the die hard Gilmore Girls fans that was in Boston for vacation and took a day to come to CT for the Gilmore Girls experience. Marty?s was delicious and had the cutest vibe. Their cupcakes and cakes are made by a local in this small town of6,000. Very cute town and lunch spot.
