Warradale Hotel

The pub had a nice atmosphere and was quite busy. The food was decent and reasonably priced for pub fare. Customers have to order at the counter and then receive a buzzer to collect their own food, which was a unique but not unpleasant experience for a casual meal. The service at the bar was quick. Overall, we had a good evening and would definitely return.

Lunch outside. Lovely quiet ambience. Generous serves for main courses at our table of ten. Seafood combo was very tasty but I would have loved it more if the oil had been drained off for a bit longer. Same with the butter milk fried chicken. Just a little too greasy. Incredible tartare sauce and the chips were crunchy. All things considered we all had a very nice long lunch on a sunny day.

Warm, comfy, and cosy in bistro, No disturbance from live music in the garden. Steak, nicely cooked. Lamb, succulent. Kids meal, generous, and well received by the kids. I wished that they brought back the salad bar! Hopefully it will happen some time in the near future! Thank you for the attentive service, once again.

FOOD: 8/10 - The food was good with generous portion sizes and great freshness and flavor. SERVICE: 2/5 - The service was lacking, unfortunately. BAR STAFF: 10/10 - The bar staff were excellent, very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. CLEANLINESS: 8/10 - The cleanliness was mostly good, although there were some dirty glasses and cutlery. EXPERIENCE: 7.5/10 - Overall, it was a good experience, although it was a bit confusing with lots of people coming in looking lost and difficulty finding the specials list.

Being a regular at the Warradale since I moved down South in 2010 I have found the food and service excellent. There were times when the staff were well and truly run off their feet and my friends and I were approached by another staff member and offered either free drinks or dessert which were turned down. The menu gets changed regularly with many appetising additions. The garlic and herb grilled mushrooms are to die for!
