Charlie's Gelato Garden - Warkworth

Good icecream, staff and atmosphere. Located off the main road (look for the signs as it’s on a bend) with a decent amount of parking. Fresh fruit ice cream is really good with a few different berry flavours plus they also have your classics straight from the chest freezer as well as Coffee, smoothies and pizza.

Yummy gelato. The pistachio was very nice. Parking is available. The place was very spacious. It was very nice to just relax and talk with your friends. Service was very friendly. They also sell yummy looking big strawberries, but it was not that sweet.

Lovely setting to enjoy some ice cream or gelato. Tried the fig and ginger today and had a great kick to it. The kids had black forest and loved it, they were both in a hurry so they could go look at the fish.<br/ Great size options though I find the bambino size (the smallest) still a little big for under 5s<br/

Have been to Charlies so many times as it is one of my favourite places to get ice cream. Every time I've been, they've had excellent service and the best selection of ice cream! I have the loyalty card, so finally received my free scoop.  The only problem is the almost fixed line, but that just shows how popular the place is. Always get the apple crumble ice cream as it is my absolute favourite. Have tried the Christmas cherry and white chocolate and raspberry too, which are both yummy. Definitely recommend visiting if you're up this way, and even if you're not, as it is worth the drive!

Yumminess!!!! Every time we visit Matakana we pop into Charlie’s. Their gelato is amazing, love the selection too! I had a double scoop cone with honey and almond as well as pistachio. My husband had the caramel sundae, he ate it in no time as it was so delicious. In the store around the corner you will find beautiful strawberries and other delicious treats.
