Alpine Warburton

Stunning erbe listed building with stunning views of the river yarra. However, these sparkles fades when they sit to order food. I brought my wife to the Alpine hotel to lunch and dessert, in the hope to have the classic chicken parma. Unfortunately, the menu on the day had nothing that my wife could eat so that she wanted to order the pasta from the children's menu. we said we couldn't order children without a child under 12. good enough, I thought so I asked if we could order a larger portion for an adult. we said we couldn't, but the employee who served us at the bar went to the kitchen to ask if it was possible. We were told no again. when we wanted to talk to the chef or decision-maker, the employee went back to the kitchen and came back to tell us that the person was occupied to make menus on the computer. we were told that the meal times are pre-portioned, so that there was no flexibility, not even a double service cost. we decided not to order food and leave immediately. extremely disappointing service and a stupid reason to lose a customer. I will be digging in the future with competitors.

Came from this absolutely beautiful heritage hotel in warburton. we were excited to feed, but to our unpleasant surprise, the bar staff (orders) were very cold and dissatisfied. with a very limited menu they refused to offer a large adult part of their pasta and refused to prepare the child part on the menu in addition to a adult meal and dessert. when we pointed out that there was no other pasta option, but the children one, they were shoving. very disappointed about their customer service. they were mistaken for business for something like silly when refused to prepare what is already pre-portioned and expensive on their menu. her unwilling to take herself is annoying and a terrible business model.

I've been on the hill since changing owners. Previously they have the best parmas, but now they try to design themselves. should not be good.

Disappointing when a local pub is trying to be a French Restaurant. Food was over priced, tasteless and is not value for money. Kids meals for more generous than what we have had.
