Cardrona - Wanaka

Driven passed here many times and thought it was just an old small pub. How wrong ! It’s a bit like Tardis......it’s much bigger inside with plenty of room. Out back there is a large garden with tables, chairs and umbrellas. A good lunch menu choice and generous portions. Even better when you taste it...I had the cod and chips....best fish I’ve had for ages and a lovely crisp light batter. We won’t drive passed again...just leave time for another visit. Might even stay a night as they have accommodation.

How could you fault this place?! The atmosphere in perfect, the staff go over and above to add to your visit, food is great, good selection of beers and the open fire is perfect. Love this place and can’t wait to be back!

Awesome pub great food great beer great vibes. Try the Cardrona beer sit back in the beautiful beer garden or in front of the open fire place.

I really love it here; the atmosphere is supremely geared to having a relaxing afternoon sitting in the sun having a brew and a bit of a nibble. Every time we go to Queenstown we always make sure to stop in here. If you like a laid back vibe, good music, yummy food and a tasty brew then I highly recommend coming here.

Our family of 6 had a fantastic time staying at Cardrona Village and especially loved the Cardrona Hotel, enjoyed dinner there 2 out of our 9 night stay. Food was fantastic, staff wonderful and the atmosphere was amazing, especially the fireplaces. We also got to watch the State of Origin decider and yet another Queensland series win, as the staff were good enough to stay open for us. Don't pass by without stopping in for a visit, you won't be disappointed.
