Libby's Bbq - Walterboro

Customer service is trash first and foremost ! Online hours days closing at 10pm. My family and I walked in at 9:12pm and the lady didn 't even say, Hi how are you doing? She quickly states, We Close! as ignorant as she could make it. I asked her that 's how you guys greet y 'all customers? Then her other co worker was trying to step in and be a bully and ask what 's the problem . I told them , y 'all customer service is a . She said that 's good to know ! This restaurant is in the middle of no where , be respectful to travelers! Doesn 't help the restaurant smells like old mop water.

The amazing salad bar is what draws us to Ruby's. We stopped on a road trip to get a healthier option for dinner than fast food and grabbed salad bar as takeout to eat in car. Yes, it's a bit harder than finger food and requires driver switches as only one can eat at a time. However it is much healthier. SALAD BAR The salad options are always amazing. Different lettuce varieties, endless toppings, and fruit and mayo salad mixes. This visit, I was delight to find PICKEL CHIPS!!! They were like crunchy potatoes chips but had a thin pickle in them. Delicious salad topper!!! SLIDERS TAKEN OFF THE MENU For small up charge, you used to be able to order sliders with the salad bar. That was my go to. As many menus took a hit during COVID, the sliders were sadly erased from the menu. STAFF Waitress behind the bar was very friendly and had our daughters order prepared in kitchen quickly. WHY ONLY 3 STARS? Removed sliders from menu Eggs in salad bar were funky Non salad bar menu is average

I am only giving this place 2 stars because of the waitress we had. She was way overbooked on tables but kept a pleasant demeanor and did everything right considering the circumstances. We entered this place while traveling and there was nobody at the check in stand. I went to look to see if sitting at the bar was a possibility and the hostess was sitting at the empty bar with her head down. She came to the front a minute or so later and showed us to a table in the most sluggish way possible. Then she went down the row of tables and stopped at the end and lowered her head like she was wanting to go to sleep. Shortly after that 2 of the female employees got into a shouting match in the ladies bathroom that all could hear. Almost wanted to leave then but we had our order in and were hungry and tired. Food was kind of greasy but Ok. Mens bathroom urinal was out of order and the rest of the batt was just dirty and disgusting Some lampshades in dining room had holes. Owner of this place must just not care If you have the choice go to McD's next door

Disappointed, walked in at 9:15pm and was told they are closing early due to staffing shortages.

Wow! DO NOT....Just don 't. I understand people are understaffed. But employees screaming at customers and kicking people out because of it, is a little bit frightening. They were literally yelling at people and saying We 're not serving anybody else tonight! Customers ordered food that they weren 't getting and they were mad. All this happened while we stood by the front door and nobody acknowledged us, or apologized for closing early. I was literally shocked at the horrid scene. 0 stars. -5 stars.
