Pig Rig Bbq - Wallingford

My boyfriend was in the mood for barbecued food, he usually grills by himself but wasn’t in the mood! We googled some places and found this one. We went there, the staff was super friendly as I explained it was our first time. She helped guiding us on how the restaurant works. We placed our order and went outside because they have tables and chairs out there. As we’re talking, a gentleman comes up to us and introduced himself as the owner. He was super nice and made sure we were taken care of! You can always tell off of first impressions their intentions. This guy was so enthusiastic about his restaurant. It was very nice having a conversation with him as my boyfriend just opened his own business and felt inspired. The food was definitely 10/10 and so was the service. I would highly recommend everyone to try this at least once! Thank you

My son would give it 1000 stars if he could and I agree! Great people and even better BBQ! We stopped here on the way to NY. We went back on our way back up to ME. This a great option while away from home. The cue was delicious, sides are unique and the sauces offer a great kick.

Simply awesome food and service. I am from the south and this is seriously some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Add to that exceptional customer service. We ordered and a person in our house has a tomato allergy. We called and they immediately told us they would remake the food they had sent with BBQ sauce. The owner brought us the replacement sandwich with an apology and the most incredible kindness. A restaurant.

Got the 3 meat platter; pulled pork, smoked chicken and ribs with sides of diesel beans and pulled pork Mac and cheese

Great food and excellent customer service!!! Visited this part of the CT for work and ate here a few times. I even brought some staff when I came back and they enjoyed it. The burned ends are moist and just correctly carburized. I tried the Chili Mac, the regular Mac with the bacon, the brisket, potato salad, cornbread and carrot cake between all visits and everything was phenomenal! Very enjoyed this place and their friendly staff. Will return when I'm back in town.
