Mad Boar Restaurant - WALLACE

After checking the reviews online, schedule a last minute business lunch. We were not disappointed. From the provolenta (I think that's the name) and stuffed prawn starters to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our meal was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area.

Great for Father's Day as the portions are large and hefty. Airy high ceilings. Music of the type 'Frank Sinatra'. Very pleasant.

We celebrated our anniversary dinner with our two children, ages 8 and 10, at Metro 8. Opting to dine on the porch on a muggy June evening, we were pleased with the pleasant breeze created by the ceiling fans. Unlike many restaurants that tend to be too cold with air conditioning, Metro 8 was comfortable from the moment we walked in - a huge plus in my book! Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. She even complimented us on our children's choice to bring books to the table instead of iPads, noting that it was a rare sight. The steaks my husband and I ordered were flavorful and cooked to perfection, just like the sides. Our daughters thoroughly enjoyed their grilled chicken dishes. The cocktails were well-made and just the right strength. We highly recommend Metro 8 for a great dining experience.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the food is delicious. The prices are reasonable and overall, it was a positive dining experience. The portions are quite generous.
