Modern - Walla Walla

The menus are at least 20 yrs. old and the seating (booths) are even older and very bumpy but we love the food. Call in orders are probably better for me.

Friendliness was awesome!The Pork egg rolls were the best I've ever had.Both of our plates, The modern fried rice and the chicken lo mein was not only delicious but the portions were huge!FYI.... If You're expecting Chinese music you are going to be disappointed. You will get a healthy dose of Country music?

I never give reviews, but my experience at the Modern i just had to. This is a sad place. It's not clean, the service is about non-existent. This place used to be a go-to place in Walla Walla when Ken Hui owned it. Would not recommend it at all. I'm really not sure how the doors are still open.

Almond chicken was heavily breaded. Very little chicken. Almond gravy was watery dark brown. No hint of almonds.Sweet and sour prawns were mostly breaded Mimi shrimp.Spoke to the manager and he assured me this is what his restaurant serves.I would not recommend any of their food or their restaurant.
