Murugan Idli Shop - Walajapet

Food was as expected. Was crowded at around 8.30 in the morning. Waited for ages before walking back to counter and asking for service. We almost thought of leaving as it looked like they were not interested to attend to the customers. Nice premises. Ample parking. The toilet was fairly ok. Prices on higher side as expected. They brought around a small cup of sweet Pongal which was hot and divine (and so were the prices, 100+ bucks for it :D Has a small play area for young kids.

It is a decent place for South India food with clean and hygienic environment. I had tried the podi idli , sweet pongal and podi dosa. Podi idli and sweet pongal was quite good. The food is really costly 2 podi idli cost 80 ,cofee 31 and dosa about 140.I really loved the jigarthanda drink which is mango flavoured.

One of the preferred joint by most of travelers commuting between Chennai and vellore and beyond to Bengaluru. Adequate place for safe car parking. Pretty big dining area decent enough to accommodate app 100 pax. Less waiting time. Service is above average speed. The taste of idli , podi idli, ghee dosa, crispy and hot Vada are so authentic and delicious along with 4 types of chutneys and sambar. Finger liking taste guaranteed. I am a regular visitor to this place for atleast 2 years and I find the taste consistently good. Usually crowded in peak hours after 8 am in the mornings however the waiting is worth consigned quality of breakfast available there. They have a small toy shop for children. A must place to visit

A best vegetarian south Indian franchise. Excels in food taste, varieties and wonderful service. Ample parking space and very hygiene. Must try would be podi idly, dozen varieties of dosa and Pongal.
