Cafe O'lei At The Plantation - Wailuku

The gardening and landscape are absolutely stunning. We wished we had arrived earlier to enjoy looking at everything. The food and service were nothing remarkable. There were a lot of hosts, but not enough wait staff. Maybe we just caught them on an off night? The drinks were very good and so were the ahi nachos (I will highly recommend these). The main course, however, was underwhelming. We both ordered the chef special, swordfish, and found it to be okay. The dessertsalso fell flat for us. We tried the pineapple upside-down cake and the floating islands, but found both to be just okay. The food is quality and the prices are reasonable, but we had higher expectations to be wowed by the food. It seemedlike they were short-staffed in some areas, so maybe we just had a lackluster experience as a result. It's worth coming here to see the gardens and staying for at least a cocktail and appetizer.

Beautiful location and beautiful scenery around. The restaurant is surrounded by a plantation and there are a lot of different types of vegetation around. The food is also tasty. We ordered the pork bao and crab cakes and it was super delicious. The pork belly entree was very dry and did not meet our expectations. The cocktails were not that great though.

Phenomenal! Great scenery, food, and staff. The ambiance of Cafe O?Lei was amazing. Food was reasonable priced and everything was delicious. This was easily one of the best places to eat at in Hawaii. I definitely recommend eating here!

Gorgeous location, right at the mountain foothills. They have outdoor seating so you can enjoy the view. The food was good, and service was great. There is alot of parking, and other things you can walk around and enjoy (feeding ducks, zip lining, a small shop of souvenirs/fresh veggies/coffee. Definitely will come again!

Our most memorable dinner in Maui. Every dish, especially the ribeye, was exquisite. Phenomenal drinks, captivating ambience, and exceptional, attentive service made the experience outstanding.
