Cafe Strata - Waihi Beach

Strata is no rush cafe at Waihi beach, took over 30 minutes to cook us breakfast at non busy time. Coffee and tea was quick though. Big portions, eggs on toast with salmon is ok, a bit dry, some tomato chutney would do magic for this dish. My french toast was delicious.

Cafe Strata in Waihi Beach has taken off, the food coffees good, owners are hands on in the cafe, doing a fine job. Gluten free choices, wifi and coffee to go!

My sister and I were visiting Waihi Beach from Papamoa and stopped in at this cafe for lunch. This was our second visit to Cafe Strata in the past month. Service was friendly and there was a great selection of food on offer at affordable prices. We both chose a pie, a mince pie for me and a mince cheese pie for my sister. They were delicious and we were informed the pies are made by the owner John. Pie was followed by coffee and we shared a generous-sized and very delicious piece of caramel slice. I will definitely return to Cafe Strata and can highly recommend.

As you walk into Cafe Strata you are greeted by the beautiful aroma of home baking, hot coffee and a warm smile from the friendly man behind the counter. We had the home made pies steak and mushroom the steak and cheese were already sold out so must be a favourite. Absolutely delicious, great coffee and excellent service. Would come here again!

High quality food and friendly, efficient service. The chocolate brownie is standout delicious up there with the best I’ve ever had.
