Bidrage med feedbackI am disappointed to say that my recent experiences at Dong Yang Inn have not been the same as they used to be. This restaurant, which was once famous for its delicious meat Jun in the 90s, seems to have lost its charm and quality. During my last two visits, I received poor and even rude service. It felt like I was not wanted there. The staff, especially the lady at the register, were inhospitable. When I asked for plates and chopsticks with my takeout order, I was told they were not complimentary. Despite this, I left $14 for the cost of these items and left feeling frustrated and disrespected. The consistent negativity in the staff's attitude, particularly from the lady at the register, is disappointing. Her lack of customer service skills is not what you would expect from a once-beloved local restaurant. I wonder if the owner is aware of the negative impact this employee is having on their business. Without a change in staff attitude and customer service, I fear that Dong Yang Inn may lose more loyal customers. It is unfortunate to see such a decline in a restaurant that used to be a local favorite. I hope the owners take notice and make the necessary improvements to restore the quality and service that Dong Yang Inn was once known for.

Dong Yang Inn in Wahiawa is a hidden gem that deserves every one of these five stars! The staff here is super friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to your dining experience. The dine in seating setup is convenient, with a unique twist you place your order at the counter, then choose any available table in the restaurant. The freedom to pick your spot is a plus! I went for the meat Jun and fish Jun combo, and also the meat Jun BBQ chicken combo. Not only were these plates packed with deliciousness, but they were also incredibly budget friendly. In fact, the portion size was so generous that I could savor at least two meals from a single combo plate. Dong Yang Inn is a must visit for those looking for a satisfying meal and great value. Don't miss out when you're in Wahiawa!
We were very disappointed with our experience at the restaurant today during our last Sunday drive around the island before sending grandma back to Texas. The restaurant was very clean, possibly because there were no customers dining in. Even the dine-in orders were served in grab-and-go boxes. We ordered the Chop Chae with rice, a family-style portion for $19.95. The portion size was generous, but unfortunately, it lacked the gingery sesame Korean flavor we were hoping for. The Family meat pack, which cost about $25.95, included 2 mandoo, 1 shrimp, lots of Bulgogi, meat Jun, fish Jun, BBQ chicken, and kal bi. However, everything tasted the same and was very salty. The cashier was friendly and parking was easy. We had to clear our own table, and the take-out boxes were convenient for bringing home the leftovers. Overall, we were unsure if we would share these dishes with our less fortunate neighbors.
