Bidrage med feedbackWow, what a great place next to Baylor. I can only say that if I were back in college, I would have lived there. The staff was friendly and they make a nice cup of coffee. My only complaint is that my cappuccino was too hot about 20 degrees. It took 15 minutes to get it where it should be. Apart from this great job. That would never hold me back from return or forgiveness.
This is one of my favorite hanging out spots in Waco, along with the Woodway location. I have come here for 15 years (which feels so funny to say) and enjoy the atmosphere. This place has a classic coffee shop Vibe with the cuddly couches, cafetic and good melodies. The coffee is great... my favorite piece is the No Bull. This is the perfect place to read, learn, meet a friend or whatever. During the day there are tourist groups (usually from the Waco tour buses), but it is a very cool place, especially in the evening. Teeny tiny cones: parking is a bit bumpy and tight, but it is what it is. Drive thru is kind of narrow, but I'm glad they have it if I can't go in!
We love this place. It is so relaxing and cozy and comfortable. Today I had the dark chocolate hot chocolate and it was amazing. Warm and creamy. You could hang around here for hours and don't recognize it.
Love this place! The atmosphere is very aesthetic. Good coffee and their special sauce they add to the coffee is good and you can buy it there in a bottle. It's right next to an ice cream shop I enjoyed. Real homemade ice cream! About Baylor University.
I really like the look of Common Grounds, both inside and out. It's an old residential building that has been converted into a rustic coffee house and student hangout. I felt a little weird and out of place when I entered, however. Not that the staff was not friendly. They were. But everyone in the place was under 25 except for my wife and I. We are 65 years old. That 40 year age difference can't easily be hidden! But the age thing is my issue because nobody in the place, staff or student, looked sideways at us at all. I ordered a nitro cold brew but was advised that it is not available at this time. So, I settled on a drip brew coffee with cream. I planned on enjoying my coffee with a scoop of ice cream from the shop next door, so drip coffee would serve that purpose just fine. I don't know what blend of coffee I received, but it was very flavorful and smooth. I really liked it! Plus, the temperature was perfect. I've been in some big name coffee shops mid day only to receive drip coffee that was lukewarm and unpleasant. Not here! I really like Common Grounds, both the look of the place and the product. And even though I'm an old geezer, I would not hesitate to go back again for some excellent coffee and friendly service.
