Bake-n-load - Waco

While visiting NYC, I fell in love with a chicken and rice dish from a cart by the Halaal Guys. I CRAVED it! This is the closest I’ve found to that dish and it’s tight here in Waco! The guys at the New Road location are so nice and fast at getting your order ready. Be sure to get extra garlic sauce-it’s to die for!

Food on the menu looks amazing. However had to wait to be helped by the employee. There was a small wait for food which is fine as Fresh cooked food is always better. I ordered the Mac n cheese potato , The potato was huge however the Mac n cheese on it was just Kraft cheap mac n cheese which is def not pictured there way. The bacon bits that also come on it was the hard salad bar type bacon bits. I'm quite disappointed in the quality of the food but atleast it was a decent sized potato for the $8

The guys that work there are super nice and friendly. The food doesn't look quite as pretty as the menu pictures, but it is very tasty. Portion sizes are similar to normal for Lebanese/Mediterranean. I recommend the falafel and the chicken shawarma.

Ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was delicious. Great service, too. We’ll be back!

Can’t say enough about this place. My parents lived in Beruit, and I visited several times, and this place reminds me so much of sitting in a cafe eating a mezza platter. The patio that these guys have lovingly built is very authentic, and the food is too! Be sure to get some hookah and flavored tea to complete the experience!
