Cafe Melusine - Vouvant

Wonderful food, perfectly prepared and excellent service. Quiet and friendly atmosphere. You need to dine here when you visit the charming village of Vouvant

Booked for lunch with friends who live locally and recommended this place. Welcoming and a good menu with specials. Really tasty food and good wine. Would recommend.

If you want to go to the top of the famous Melusine tower, you need a key which you can get for 2 euros from behind the bar at this modern, warm and welcoming cafe. They have a Melusine draught beer which is lovely, a...great musical taste and very comfortable chairs. Whilst your other half is climbing the tower, you can rest here a while and enjoy the ambience.

We were surprised to find this cafe open as all info on-line had said it would be closed. It is closed on Thursdays! We went elsewhere for lunch and came to Vouvant for a look around so we just had a coffee here. The menu...looked OK and it has a lovely position close to the tower. We'll try eating another time.

We ate at the terrace at 4 and it was good without saying that it is essential. The map is small so I would have hoped a little more taste. There's not a lot of room so rather ideal for a drink. The price quality ratio is in my sense relatively expensive
