Maddy's Barbacoa 1 - Von Ormy

They moved locations from San Antonio to Von Ormy. Food still tasting as delicious as always. Still worth the drive.

Just ate 3 Barbacoa tacos! Yummy ! I hadn’t eaten barbacoa since another place in Helotes went out of business!

Too bad you can't give this review Zero Stars. The Menudo was watered down, most likely as it was late in the morning and they were probably running out. The Barbacoa lacked any real flavor, the tamales tasted under cooked and the cilantro was already wilted...see the pictures...we will never order from them again...oh the Barbacoa was greasy as hell....avoid like the plague...

Barbacoa was mediocre. We asked for all meat, but it looked mostly like regular. A bit pricey for the quality.

Ok...so this little hole in the wall is next to a pet grooming place. Barbacoa a 2. Tortillas a 2. Lacking flavor of authentic barbacoa to me. Tamales were silly and flavor off. They are skinnier than a winnie. You might like it if you try it...but we didn't. It's first and last visit here. If you sample this place, you'll know why this review.
