Meson La Fabrica - Vitoria-Gasteiz

We were thoroughly disappointed with the recommendation from our counterparts on arrival from Germany to try this fixed menu place servicing the unskilled and immigrant workforce from the surrounding factories. The fare was a far cry from the tall talks of how good the local cuisine might be. It was like stepping into a different world from the brochures promoting the Basque country, from the staff to the uncouth diners with reflective jackets which one can only imagine leaving 5-star reviews as they don't actually pay for the meals and use a “ticket restaurant” instead. Worth giving this place a miss and venturing a bit closer to centre.

Good quality food, both sit down and to grab. Good prices as well.

A very good place to eat, in quantity and quality. The desserts lowered the general level a bit. But the first and second were spectacular. A very reasonable menu price. A large and easy place to park.
