Bidrage med feedbackMe and my Gf had a great stay, the condo was nice and clean and i would visit again .. at least that was my thought until ….. the morning of check out, when went to pack our car and our car was gone!.. they towed our car from our “private property parking lot”. Every person has their own parking spot and are giving “parking passes” for their stay, the parking lot also the number of your room labeled on your spot. The towing place was located 30mins from the condos. There were no accommodations for people who cars were towed. They said call a taxi or Uber, What if some people from out of town didn’t have money to get their car out or get to their car at the towing place !!.. it was ridiculous!! Also if you hang your parking pass and it falls they will still tow your car!..be very careful..!! And it’s about 150$ or more to get out.. our car wasn’t the only car towed it was a good 3-4 people!! That is a problem!! Not having accommodations for people is a problem!!.. who drives 30 mins from a tow car lot to find a private parking lot , drive in it and look for cars who have no parking pass or it could have fell off ?? Sounds suspicious right!!.. sounds like management might have a contract with the towing company right???… they need to fix that problem!! It’s such a inconvenience for people!.. so for that i give 2 stars!! I could go on and on about no one being able to help! And it’s so much that could be done up until taking cars.. for one call and verify the car of the person/persons who’s staying in the room..2. The tow place should have a list of cars and people staying at the residence !! Please do better !!… you won’t get great reviews doing people like that.
This score was difficult to decide. The section on town is really nice and quite. The rooms were not very clean. Would expect everything to be much cleaner especially with the high cleaning cost charged. There were areas in the rooms that look like they have never been dusted, under the beds were disgusting and the widows were pasted with dead bugs. If you go during a peak period do not take a big vehicle, parking spaces are tight. On a positive note the beaches are beautiful, this resort does have multiple grills if you want to cook outside and the pools were nice.
We were instructed to park in either our designated spot or a spot with no number on it. The spot that was designated for our condo was a small corner spot that was made for a compact car. We were driving a pickup truck, which did not fit in the spot. We parked in an empty unmarked spot with our parking permit visible and located on the rear view mirror. The next morning we went down to retrieve something from our truck and it was gone. The worst feeling ever. After many calls between Vacasa and the homeowners we were told our truck was towed because it was over the white line. Now keep in mind, this is September and the garage was pretty much empty. They had a company tow to Virginia Beach over 35 minutes away. Vacasa was no help and said we were at the mercy of the homeowners association. I won’t even mention. the gross condition the buildings are in. Never ever again will I stay here or rent from Vacasa
I wish I had read the reviews before I paid nearly 7500 for our condo. We arrived at 7 pm exhausted due to interstate accident. We spent a large amount of time looking for our “ reserved” parking spot. There was only one marked, so, as instructed we parked my sons in an unmarked area in corner. The condo needed a deep cleaning. The beds were made, towels were there, but it wasn’t vacuumed, one toilet was a mess and windows and mirrors had not been cleaned in weeks. Tons of sand and fifth in the hallway. The unit was NOT fully stocked as contract stated. There wasn’t a roll of toilet paper in any of the 4 bathrooms. Internet and electricity issues all week. All of this could have been overlooked, but on Wednesday morning, my son was planning a trip to the boardwalk only to find out his car had been towed. The “homeowners administration” had it towed to a lot 35 minutes away! His mirror tag had fallen onto dash board, but his car had been parked since Saturday evening with out of state tags. If they are so worried over who is parking in the building, they need to add key cards that open the existing lift gate to the welcome package or as Hilton Head does, a guard at the entrance. 1/2 a day spent getting it back.Towing off cars of paying guests is unacceptable!!Every year we plan a family vacation, this years was stressful because of disorganization and staffing issue of homeowners association. Shortage of cleaning staff and a Barney Fife managing the garage. The condo we stayed in was beautiful. The homeowners are the ones I feel sorry for. They’ve invested money and expect Association to care for it. They are not.Future guests, stay somewhere else.
This is our 2nd year staying at The Sanctuary. After reading several bad reviews, I was nervous about our rental this year. I honestly expected the worst. However, we walked into a clean, beautifully maintained condo. We were left extra sheets towels for our family of 4. There were fresh rolls of toilet paper paper towels as well as hand soap, dish soap, a few dish detergent laundry detergent pods. The pool was clean had plenty of lounge chairs. We saw maintenance often walking around cleaning taking care of various things. The beach is so clean, beautiful, and not too crowded. We will be back for years to come!
