Mesob Cafe - Virginia Beach

My family and I want to eat quickly with my grandmother while my siblings visited their respective sports practices, and so I went somewhere near. mesob came up and sounded interesting, so we went! It's almost completely hidden what a shame is because the food was really good. I had the Shiro wool and my family had the other options I can't remember. I had no complaints about the food, but the rest of my family felt that while tasty, it was something too spicy. also, they did not give us silverware until we requested it, but I think that is because you should use the Injera to spoon it from your plate. personally, my only complaint was the service. while beautiful, the waitress was very shy and not very attentive. we had to call them to ask for the cutlery as I said, and also with the check. We were worried we had to get up and knock ourselves on the door because she disappeared in the back. She was perfect when we asked, but not very attentive. Overall, this place is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious. I definitely go back!

Small restaurant in the Strip-Mall. We have two of the Veg plates on common family style plate. The Ingera was fine, it lacked the sour dough taste I know, but the rest was delicious. Even my Picky 10 years old enjoyed the yellow lenses.

We really enjoyed our meal and will be back regularly. For a change I ordered rice as my strength instead of Injera (which I never did in an Ethiopian place), and I really liked it. Two more tables arrived while we ate, and both ordered all vegan foods (including a father and two young daughters), so it seems the word is how vegan-friendly mesob is!

We had a vegan meeting here. 15 of us. The food was amazing and I wanted to order more for lunch the next day, but we had bought everything! Bummer. So we went back a week later and I was just as happy. Worth the money!

Food was great and there are many vegetarian/vegan friendly menu items. The Injera was a little more sour than some I had before I found to be a good thing and really enjoyed. The lenses and divided yellow peas were incredibly delicious. Do not really have many negatives to say of this first visit. The price and portions were great and the food was delicious. 5/5
