Interlude - Virginia Beach

Came for a quick drink while in the city center immediately felt home after the barkeeper lex was greeted. it was animated night for the bar and she multitasked well, suggested menu elements, and kept my glass full while leaning to other mozens and a meaningful conversation. I'll come back in definitiw if I see lex behind the bar! She's certainly a guard deserves an increase!

Everything was perfectly cooked. tuna was perfectly related. the sweet were not mush. wonderful aromen. the price was about to expect, but we got them too happy hour. the waiting staff was also friendly and accommodating. I really have no complaints except they have to go through the hotel to enter. I think they would be better than independent restaurant with hotel access. I'd go back in a way.

Chicken picatta was really, really bad. As in, inedible. Bartender very warm and nice so two stars for her making the night a little better.

Arlington, VA 89 5/10/2022 Visited interlude this past Mothers Day for breakfast. The food was awesome but my waitress *Grace delivered the food and the check about 30 secs later. I was in a state of shock but continued to watch other tables in my area to see maybe if the same thing was happening. Sad to say it wasn 't. Giving her the benefit of the doubt , maybe her shift was ending early and she forgot to mention it or maybe she was changing areas in the restaurant all of which proved to not be true. We ate for another 30 minutes or so giving plenty of time to enjoy the food and see if she 'd ask about the bill. That did not happen. I paid leaving 0 tip of course and took a picture of the receipt and was sure to use my Amex Gold Business card due to the ease of which I could dispute and track if a tip would be added afterwards. Sorry to say that 's indeed what happened. Grace added a little over 4 bucks for a 41 dollar meal. Its not of course , the principal. Ive since disputed and AMEX is on the case. Very very unfortunate but I refuse to be taken advantage of and be made to feel like a 2nd class citizen.

My breakfast was delicious and the staff was absolutely brilliant and the restaurant manager was absolutely fantastic to welcome the hospitable.
