Bidrage med feedbackThis is the best restaurant in Provence!!! Amazing live music on Thursday evening this week, excellent service and attention, they reminded us of Sunday!!! Magnificent local cuisine and great atmosphere!!! Can't recommend this restaurant enough!
When the friendly waiter sat on our table, the friendly waiter told us that there is no choice but only a set menu that was good for us. The food was from local products and provençal, quite delicious. We had a kind of omelette as an appetizer, veal meat... with potato gratin as the main, goat cheese with orange jam and a delicious nectarine cake as a dessert. The food took age to come as the restaurant was pretty busy, but we don't mind.
Wonderful experience. No menu you choose from. Only the big or small menu means two courses or three. Felt as if we were visiting the vineyard house of friends who served us a fabulous meal. The food was very good, but the biggest reason to go is the experience. Outside terrace served by people I suspect had the place, under the stars and under the vineyards. A few family escorts kept us in mind that added to the ambience. A very good value for money.
I have to be honest. We never would have found this place on our own. We were a group of friends staying in L'Isle sur la Sorgue and we hired a fantastic guide for a personalized wine tour. He brought us here for lunch and...we all enjoyed the interlude between visits to the vineyards. It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day and we ate outside in a lovely garden. Your only choice is whether you want a 3-course meal for 20 Euros or 4 courses for 25 Euros. A glass of wine from the local vineyard was included with the meal. The meals feature local products from the farm and I suspect they change regularly if not daily. We were told the restaurant is only open in the summer and not every day but we did not find out any more details. Service was good and friendly. While there was only one server for all the tables while we were there, this was not really a problem as we arrived rather late for lunch and the restaurant was not too busy. As I mentioned, we didn't go out looking for this restaurant but I would definitely say it is worth a visit if you want to enjoy good food with local ingredients in a lovely setting.
The Auberge de la Tuilerie is a delightful family run restaurant set in the midst of the vineyards of Domaine Grand Père Jules where you can dine outside on summer evenings and enjoy very tasty authentic Provencal cooking. There is usually a set menu with no...decisions or choices to stress you (except maybe dessert) but do not worry you'll enjoy it all! At €28 for a four course menu that includes a welcoming apéritif the value is very excellent. Be sure to try the Domaine Grand Pére Jules wines with you dinner too, they are round and fruity and good value at €18 a bottle (only €10 at the caveau). Don't forget however that the Auberge has (wisely) pretty restricted opening hours every day (except Tuesday) only in July August, closed January February and other times open only on the weekends.
