Poivre Rouge Villers Saint Paul

Part of a group of 8, which can be an issue if you don't book in advance, but it wasn't here. The food was excellent, with a superb buffet salad bar for starters. A variety of mains, but the majority were steak as it is a grill.They even managed to sort out the bill on an individual basis, despite our broken French.

We were staying at the nearby Ibis hotel and they recommended the Poivre Rouge which was just across the road. It was pouring with rain so it seemed a good idea not to venture too far on foot. There wasn't a lot for me as a vegetarian, but I found a tasty goats cheese toastie. My husband had steak and chips which were good. For dessert I had a deconstructed lemon tart which was excellent. The place was full of families on a Friday evening. The service was good. I would certainly go again if I were in that area.

We had a set menu meal, very good value at about €15, buffet help yourself starter(all you can eat), main meal and desert.
