Cafe De Lasalle - Ville Platte

My son enjoyed the buffet while I ordered the menu. We both loved our meals. The fetters with Tasso were enough for meals. The service was also fast.

The food was a good old house kitchen. The buffet was inviting. Remember my grandmother's bathroom. Lol. The service was slow. Otherwise we'll be back! Can say that all locals eat here. Everything and everything offered on this menu!

It's a small business that's a family business. It has a buffet and a menu to select the dishes they offer. The Swamp Monster is a large burger with double meat patties, cheese, the usual dressings, filled with fried shrimps, fried onions and jalapenos. All ingredients come together in the mouth for a damn near perfect Cajun blend of a burger. Besides, it's only 6 bucks!

When we travel, we ask locals where we eat and they always give great recommendations! We wanted some REAL local CAJUN food when visiting Chicot State Park and Louisiana State Arboretum and after the question three people, all local, all three recommended the Cafe De La Salle. Friendly service, friendly lunch and REALLY GOOD CAJUN FOOD. A seafood muflatta, delicious! Menu has a very good selection of CAJUN dishes. Very recommended!

Wonderful service, amazing Cajun buffet. I'll be back for the burger. Loved it, and will recommend.
