Agriturismo S'ortu Mannu

We booked for a Saturday and it was just 2 of us. They alerted us that if were were the only customers they might have cancelled the booking as they would need to prepare fresh food only for two people. However it ended up we were the only two people but they let us have lunch anyway. Actually we had a super cozy place nearby the fire place and the food was amazing and fresh. Also the owners were really kind and spent some time chatting with us. Price is also very reasonable.

I have not stayed in the farm that is available at this property, I have only visited the place together with colleagues, during a scientific tour. We were then exhaustively explained the origin of the impressive ancient olive trees, which are scattered around the property and provide a wonderful show. We learned, among other things, the fascinating form of separation between ownership of land and ownership of the olive trees, which refers to pre-modern forms of mixed property once much more widespread, and that still exists here. And as to the origin of the plantation (perhaps in XVth century), it also shows a traditional ruler 's practice about pastoral lands: to force by law or to encourage the planting of trees, to increase the income of the land and therefore the prosperity of an entire region (see eg Castagniccia region, in nearby Corsica).

All very satisfied with the quality of food and hospitality. the super abundant courses is very appreciated. competent and kind staff. the location is beautiful. super recommended!

Beautiful and well-kept location, newly renovated, surrounded by greenery and with a spectacular sunset. The menu is fixed, with many courses and abundant portions (I recommend to go fasting classic Sardinian dishes, good and genuine. you feel the love that in the kitchen they want to convey! Exquisite porceddu, we asked for a sketch to bring home the leftovers, how sorry we couldn't finish it. the waiters are available and nice. and the account to be too honest for everything we ate and for the quality of raw materials. To try!

Now I'm addicted, I can't help him, they drugged me with good food, even if I change my way I always find myself there.
