Great. ...the only adjective for what I would call a whole field sensory experience!
My review of the Hotel and Restaurant Adriano will be partial because I stopped only for lunch, but I had the opportunity to see some rooms of the hotel passing and left me a good impression, definitely a very refined solution for a tiburtino stay. This property is located precisely in Largo Marguerite Yourcenar at Villa Adriana, a hamlet of Tivoli(RM) at the end of a rather desolate avenue accessible by bus 4 or 4x that makes here a terminus and arrives in Tivoli with quite frequent rides. After a visit to the wonderful archaeological site, the restaurant Adriano is expected to be the only solution for a coffee break or a full meal, especially if as on the day when I was there, the dining area next to the bookshop is closed. The restaurant has two rooms, one inside the hotel with the dining room and one outside with a beautiful garden well maintained in every detail and an elegant gazebo that protects from the sun a dozen tables. Awesome note: every table is haunted by the ants, which makes the waiting of their dishes unnerving, perhaps it would be the case of providing in this sense. The waitress was extremely kind from the first to the last moment, alone he had to provide both hotel customers and those of the restaurant's outside room, he continued to apologize for the delay in taking orders or delivering dishes, although in some cases the alleged delay was only a few minutes. An excess of zeal and kindness worthy of note. The menu of the restaurant is full of original and imaginative dishes, it consists of some well illustrated sheets with images that recall a little Romanity as well as the indication of some dishes with the name in Latin. The eye has fallen on the testaroli di pane cacio e pepper (caseus et piper nigrum) with a precise reference to De Re Coquinaria, one of the oldest cookbooks of Apicius. It is impossible not to choose them and they were very pleasant, although the cost a little bit 'alpine (10 euros). In principle, Adriano restaurant promoted!
