Bidrage med feedbackSecond time to visit in 3 years and the quality and service is impeccable. Tara took care of us very well during this visit and was exceptional. Definitely another way of life in the south than at home in New York. We will definitely be on every trip we take to Georgia. Thanks for the great food, service and conversation!!!!
Good Ole Country Store atmosphere where you can get a warm meal. When you go through the doors, you will be taken back in time. The look is rustic, please see the pictures. I was just there for breakfast, which was good. I was told to come back for the fried chicken.
UPDATE: My mother was hungry at Wels, so we decided to give Trafing Post Cafe another shot. It was like the place was a 1800 turn for the better, the catfish fillets were hot, fresh and tasted so good and the whole catfish were hot, fresh and tasted so good. Our server Jessica was on site with our service and we didn't want anything. The owner should be praised to turn this business better! We will definitely go back!!! ‐ My family met here for dinner, most of them wanted everything you could eat catfish. The host tried to sit 5 people at a four top, no great start, they even sat at an 8 top. Our server Tara greets us and got our drinks and we started to peruse the menu. Tara came back with our drinks and gave us another minute to see. She came back and when my brother ordered all the cats of the AYCE, he said they were full cats and had only fillets, he ordered the files with Broccoli-Ocra. My mother ordered the 2pc Wels filets with a side salad and broccoli, my father ordered the 8oz chopped steak with double potatoes and gravy. My husband ordered the 8oz chopped steak with baked potato and side salad and I ordered the 8oz chopped steak with broccoli and a side salad. It went down here. My brothers AYCE came with 1 piece of catfish, my mother came out a piece was warm and a piece was so hard that it sounded stoned when you met the table with him and her broccoli was cold. My men came out and his Hamburg steak was burned and his baked potato was cold and melted butter, cooked but hard like a brick...yes, you read that right! My Hamburg steak also got burned and my broccoli was cold. I called Tara and asked if she could take our broccoli and heat it in the microwave, we got it hot again. To make this long story even longer, I told Tara that my Hambuger Steak was burned and she said ok let me talk to my manager, she came back had taken $3,99 out of the check for Hamburger Steak, but continued to blow me $3,99 for the side salad and $2,99 for this little bowl Broccoli, yp I was blown away. The food quality is under sub par, Tara our server was fantastic. If a company can not help and has reduced its hours after lunch in the days of the week and then at 8 a.m. on a Friday and Saturday you know that they are fighting. The bad thing is that they use to be ingenious, but after Friday night fiasco, we will not be back soon. No pictures, it was sad to post any pictures!!!
This restaurant has some of the best dishes in this area. So nice to sit down and eat with a friendly staff. Chicken and dressing is my favorite. Great vegetables.
