Gorkha Tandoori Palace - Vila do Conde

We visited this restaurant because of the great reviews. Unfortunately it failed to meet expectations. The restaurant is very large and the only heating was 2 small electric fires. Therefore, we never felt warm. One of our party requested a shandy but they had no lemonade! He then requested a non alcoholic beer, they didn’t have that either! Two others ordered draught beer but that had a strange taste so they ended up buying bottled beer. Our starters were served on cold plates which didn’t help the food. My chicken chaat was more like pulled , chopped chicken . A few of our friends enjoyed the flavor of their starters, but it was all cold. We did get hot plates for our mains (at our request) one of our party ordered his curry hot but it still came fairly mild. The other main courses were okay but not good enough to make us return.

This food made us reminisce of our time in Nepal. It was delicious, authentic and really wholesome. The service was very kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

We visited twice during our holiday and on both occasions we had a wonderful experience. The food was superb and the hosting was second to none. I would thoroughly recommend it for a great night out.

A must visit. We came across this restaurant by chance and we hit the jackpot. Service was polite and attentive. Food was out of this world. We'll be back.

We were confused about the dinner and my wife said she fancy Indian food for the dinner, so rushed to Gorkha Tanddori as a quick dinner, and we were not let down, the staff were so friendly, never had the curry as chef prepared as per our choice,Garlic nan was to die for, pulau rice was excellent, highly recommended, was busy night there big group were enjoying outside, we fancy sitting inside as it was windy outside, the environment inside was so touching, good variety of wine to choose for, would recommend for Anyone who would love a Indian dish around Portimão or Ferragudo
