Capa Na Vila By Capa Negra

Nice modern restaurant with a view on the River Ave. The staff is nice, the meals are great and the prices fair. I would definitely return and try a different dish.

Lindo edifico, com uma vista sobre o rio ave. Decoração lindíssima. Serviço impecável e atencioso. Otima comida. Da para jantares de grupo. Facil estacionamento.

E o Capa Negra chegou a Vila do Conde. A localização é excelente, mesmo ao lado do Rio Ave. O atendimento é bom, mas muita inexperiência de alguns funcionários. A comida é muito boa.

Visited various times since opening, nice setting by the river, has a nice esplanade when the weather permits and the setting inside is nicely decorated but tight, not much space inbetween the tables. The menu is like the other Capa Negras francesinhas, various steaks and snacks. Extensive beer list and limited wine list. Last week they opened up the top floor fore a more fine dining experience. The view at night is simply unreal. Excellent starters, a wide variety of meat and fish dishes (from Lobster rice to t bone steaks on the charcoal. Extensive wine list and fabulous desserts. Service is polite and the price reasonable. Will continue visiting.

For some time I wanted to try this restaurant, as it could be a good choice for a lunch in Vila do Conde. Location is nice, interior room is a bit small, but there is a good outdoor area for hot summer days. Staff is still a little inexperienced, but very polite and friendly. The interior room, bar and tables are modern and fashionable (but I must say I would rather prefer a more typical traditional look). The disapointing part was the food. I ordered a steak with mustard sauce, which was nothing special. The sauce looked direct from a bought pot and the meat 's quality was more than regular (the type of meat everyone can find in a supermarket). It wasn 't bad, but when I order a beef steak in a restaurant i 'm expecting some high quality meat, otherwise I would prefer some typical dishes. By the way, there you can only find sandwiches, francesinhas, and steaks. There were only 2 regular daily typical portuguese dishes from you to choose from, appart from the mentioned. There are no typical portuguese food options on the fixed menu. Price was OK, specially because of the place and service, But they must improve the kitchen and ingredients quality. Still it seems to be a place to visit once in a while.
