Completely worth the higher price. We had such good service; the waitress was so attentive and friendly. The pasta felt authentic and was really tasty.

Best selfmade pasta all around Laos. Definitely worth a visit. And I can recommend the super delicious dessert!

It's been a little if two years since the last time I ate at State of the Pasta and I still think about their Lao sausage pasta to this day. If you're in Vientiane and feel like having some fusion Italian food with a Lao touch then State of the Pasta is a MUST. I had to come back and edit my old post to express how much I loved the place and it's food.

Stellar service, stellar food, stellar place. I love this restaurant!! The staff is so friendly and attentive, you can taste how homemade the delicious pasta and sauces are and the prices are amazing for DIY pasta!! Also they offer a free appetizer, which is a homemade mango chutney, olive oil and chilli sauces with in-house made garlic focaccia bread. Omg everything about this place is sooo awesome. I’ve also been missing good (affordable) wine this trip and this place has a gorgeous and generous glass of French red for 25000 Kip! We loved this place so much we went back twice in 2 days!
