Madeleine Proust - Vienna

Been eyeing madeleine proust on Yelp for a while now and finally decided to go and let me tell you I'll be back! When you first walk in you will notice a table full of their baked goods which makes it hard to choose from But, if you have a hard time choosing what to get they offer an assortment box! Which made my life easier. The first one I tried was their matcha flavor and I was speechless! It was the perfect not to sweet treat I needed and I can't wait to try the rest!

I have always loved Madeline, but it hasn't been easy to find a good one in the area; stopping by on one of the Saturday afternoons and tried the earl gray one, and it was terrific; I got a few more with different flavors to try. I love the tea flavor of pastry and wish they could customize made the chiffon cake in such a flavor , will keep this place on my to go list for cakes and pastries.

My husband got both the strawberry and chocolate chiffon cake for my birthday. They were so wonderful. Just the right amount, fresh, and amazingly tasty. My son even asked for the strawberry chiffon cake for his birthday!I also am a huge fan of Madeleine cookies and the big box with all the flavors was too fun! We will be returning.

Cute little bakery in town of Vienna! It's in the same plaza as Clarity. I needed to get a cake nearby for a small gathering and gave them a call right at opening on a Saturday to confirm what kind of cakes they had available. Then I went in few hours later and they were almost all sold out : I saw some cakes were unavailable Bc someone had reserved it. Wish he told me that on the phone or else I would have done the same! Oh well, I ended up getting both the chocolate and strawberry chiffon cake. It's pretty pricey for a small cake and thought it was pretty standard in terms of taste. They had variety of different Madelines as well. I chose the earl grey and matcha brilles but thought the flavor wasn't strong enough on either of those things, still a great madeline overall.

Their chiffon cakes are just out of this world! Excellent balance between texture and sweetness. The cakes are not too sweet but just right. Their cookies and madelines are excellent as well. Highly recommend this place.If you want a cake, do go early or order online or call and reserve one. :
