How does hotel gets a four-star rating is beyond me. I travel quite extensively, and I would say this is in the bottom five hotel rooms I've ever had. The room was very small and ill-equipped, and the offerings at the restaurant are not only tasteless but the service is terrible.

Great central location! Fantastic for shopping and nights out. The rooms Are well presented and include good quality toiletries. A tea/coffee making tray included some nice biscuits, always a nice touch. Staff are well presented, friendly and helpful so I will definately return!

I had a bit of time to kill before a lunch meeting on the Dublin Road and was looking for somewhere to do 30 minutes of work but weirdly the Dublin Road has a lack of Coffee Shops. So I ended up in the Clayton Hotel. The hotel lounge was large, comfortable with plenty of seating. They had free wifi without a password so it was a winner for me. I decided to grab a coffee as I felt guilty for using all their free wifi without making a purchase. I grabbed an Americanno which was nice but nothing spectacular. The hotel lounge also serves food and would actually be an ideal place to have a meeting. They have conference facilities so the wifi is rapid! This review is for the lounge and communal facilities rather than for the accommodation.

We were going to stay here in April but due to Covid 19 and potential travel bans, we had to cancel. We did the pay in full non refundable option to save a little money. The Clayton did not have to refund us and did. That's good business and much appreciated. Thanks to Dean who helped us and the entire hotel. We'll be sure to stay here when we reschedule our trip.

We took a side trip to Belfast and stayed overnight at the Clayton Hotel. The Good: The hotel is a short walk away from a lot of shops and restaurants. We were very surprised at how vibrant Belfast was on a Monday night. Also, our room was already s itched over to accommodate our party; the sofa bed and cots were already set up made. Finally, it's a small thing but the room had a nice sized refrigerator. The Bad: Taxis. You just can't walk out on the street and fetch a taxi like I'm used to doing in many cities. So, be sure to leave plenty of time for the hotel to book a cab for you. Also, the cabs get there pretty quickly. The Ugly: The only thing I didn't like was the steak The chips from room service the meat was tough and overlooked. I know, I know, that's what I get for ordering a steak at a hotel.
