Falafel Et Al - Vicksburg

Delicious Egyptian cuisine; very simple menu. I'm so glad to get some ethnic food in Vicksburg. Although this is a fast food front in the shopping center, it is made fresh and the cook is also the checkout so patient and ready to wait ten minutes or so. I called ahead and helped, but be ready to repeat, as the man still learns English. Sorry about the warnings, but you'll enjoy more if you know what to expect. You can't really go wrong with something on the menu, but if lamb tends too strong for you, go with the chicken. The Falafel is of course delicious. This is similar to Greek food (also a Greek salad on the menu), but with subtle differences. The Pommes are similar to McDonald's Pommes, which is great if you like thin pommes. The baklava (dessert) is also quite a treat. That's the whole menu. Prices are quite reasonable. Great supplement to the food in this city!

I am so glad to finally have a place that offers Mediterranean dishes in Vicksburg. It is a small fast food counter in the Vicksburg Mall, right in front of the Dillard's Store. It is run by a very mild manier called Khalid, which makes itself for its slow English with great service and excellent food. I enjoyed the falafel sandwich. It's a man show, and according to orders, Khalid caught the falafel before you. You can taste the freshness of the soft frit, perfectly complemented by a mild tahini-based sauce and vegetables. The order via the phone helps if you are in a hurry. I will definitely go back to try the Shawarma Sandwiches.

A man. Very recommended to call your order in 30 minutes before the time. You won't regret it. Super delicious food from a very nice man. If you order when you get there, you will wait a long time when someone is in front of you.

I am from the city (Seattle). Wonderful food. You can not get this type of falafel even in large cities, because here they use an Egyptian recipe, while most falafel places sell a Levantine version.

Went for lunch at work and called in. It took some time for him to cook but not crazy. It was so good. I wish him nothing but success. I hope he is able to get his own venue seperate from the mall as his business grows. Really nice fellow and really great food. 10/10 reccomend.
