We discovered this restaurant after walking around the Rialto bridge area. After we ate there, we researched Trip Advisor and saw that they were rated high. We enjoyed a Caprese salad and pizza. We had a gin with lemon and a delicious lemon drink since they did not have any fresh peaches to make a Bellini. Reasonably priced.
I ordered a chicken breast dish with some side fries and my Wife ordered a mixed salad none of which were very exciting. As stated in other customer comments, the toilets didn’t reach the mark in any fashion and I wish we did our homework since my Wife suffered severe stomach problems the next morning. Again, at least 1 other report was made by another customer in this respect. If I was back home in the U.K. I would’ve been contacting the foods standards agency (FSA) to have the place raided. In fact I think I’ll still have an Italian approach in this respect as I’m disgusted.
We hoped to have a nice family meal here, but having been seated in the second room because we had children, it seemed a bit unusual for Italy. Lots of flies were landing on our table and I looked up at the wall behind the table to find it was cover in flies. This is not at all normal. When we asked to move, we saw this was the same in the front room. I don’t know why this happened, but I could not stay to eat here with my family. The bin stored just inside the side door may have been a problem.
Food was bland and not really representative of Italy; the Marguerita pizza was a glorified cheese pizza with no trace of basil. The service was slow, the coperto fee was high for a location far from Grand Canal. Washroom was fitting in the overall picture but was not influencing the review. Just don't go, you can find better.
