Agriturismo Bon Pra - Vendrogno

As we like Agriturismo life, we find this nice place, with her own products, they offer an excellent menu, and wine; very interesting for familys to admire the nice environnment, the animals, and the life in this Agriturismo; you can buy some handmade products; nice view, good quality, nice experience.

This is a small and cosy restaurant where the owner really loves to cook, mostly with the products he personally grows. For about 25€ you will get a tasting menu with great quality food and more than you can eat, served with a smile and a wonderful view out of the window. There also is one table for 8 to sit outside, if you feel the weather is warm enough. If you need/prefer to have a special meal for a vegetarian or special diet, I'd advise to call in advance and they will try their best to make you happy. The bonuses are you can walk around the property to see the many animals and chat with the owners that are always eager to share their knowledge about food and local country life. You can also buy jams made from the berries they grow on the property. I love to visit this place when we are in the area as they have great food and my daughters (10 yo) love to wander around the animals and pick up some berries to buy and take home.

A Sunday of January, my partner and I decided to take a trip, and after visiting the orrido d bellano, we had lunch at the farm bon Prà... The place is located in vendrogno, a small village nearby. As soon as you arrive, you immediately notice the garden, the fence of donkeys and the farmhouse, all surrounded by a beautiful panorama, the lake... The owner welcomes us with a wonderful kindness and courtesy, and warns us that we have to wait a few minutes waiting for the other guests, and so we decide to sew a little around...We all welcome you inside, and we are caught by a huge fireplace, which immediately creates a special atmosphere... After a few moments, start to serve the appetizers, some already present on the table, croutons with cheese mooses,basilico, etc., verdurine, goat cheese, Russian salad, chives in agrodolce, salted cake with cauliflower, mixed meats, all excellent and delicious products, some products from them. To continue they bring risotto to the blueberries, own production, with porcini mushrooms, the portion was quite small, but the father of the owner, seeing the dish of my partner clean quickly, brought another portion. For second we had a taste of lentils with cotechino, and baked cup with apple mustard, very good both!! ! To conclude a spectacular, excellent blueberry strudel, made by mom... The whole accompanied by a bottle of white wine, water and coffee, for a total of menu without the bottle, was in two people... well what to say, good food, quality, courtesy and kindness of the staff, I recommend to try the agriturismoBon Prà...the only neo, if I just have to find something, the courses are not exactly from farm, usually we will raise quite full, but the quality of the raw materials will fully fill the satisfaction of the palate, that makes all forget!
