Bidrage med feedbackWe have mixed feelings about this place. Food was quite good, but the service disappointed. My advise would be to not listen to waiters recommendations and overselling. P.S.: Pizza was seriously good. Risotto was seriously bad :
A nice terrace just in the center of Velas, in front of the church. Good for a snack, a pizza or a couple of beers. The service is really friendly and we were rather happy with the pizza.
At the beginning we ordered lapas and we were amazed with the quality of them, we decided to dinne at the place. That was a decision that turned out to be .... GREAT. The Filet was superb, you could shop it with a butter knife, the fried shrimp was outstanding as well as the stewed shrimp, and the homemade pizzas were delightfull as well. We were in a hurry due to the ferry and the team managed our requests in a good manner. We totally recomend this place, and the staff is super friendly.
Uma verdadeira armadilha para turistas. Apesar da qualidade dos produtos não ser má, não estão a servir nenhum prato com uma confecção especial ou com ingredientes raros. Raros são apenas os preços, exorbitantes para a variedade qualidade dos pratos apresentados. Não é possível tomar uma refeição completa por menos de 20 a 30 euros. Finalmente pedi fatura, e a funcionária fez-se esquecida. Demorou a dar uma resposta, obviamente já tinha fechado a conta... possível fuga ao fisco. Resumo: chegaram uns italianos, que devem ter lido estas críticas, e negociaram logo um teto limite para uma refeição, fosse qual fosse, só não poderia passar x euros. (Fica a ideia aos futuros clientes). Boa sorte. Os Açores merecem melhor. Modo ironia [ON]: vejam lá a sopa de legumes que vendem a uns módicos três euros. Vocês estão a fugir aos preços praticados e a perderem dinheiro. Querem ganhar tudo de uma vez, aprendam a ser coerentes, sejam careiros em tudo o que vendem.
Excellent food stop! We had a Pizza Jorgense, sautéed vegetables and a bottle house red wine. All of it was amazing. Our server was really friendly and spoke very good English he explained all the Chef's specials and answered a couple of questions we had. Highly recommended!
