Fresh fish, very well prepared. Shrimp tasted like it just came out of the ocean. Potatoes with butter. Then the pancakes, it's perfect! We sat higher up with a view of the fortress and water. I love this place. Highly recommended!

This restaurant has everything you would want, great food, great wine, great view, friendly staff and a shop underneath to browse. Our first experience island hopping and we came across this lovely restaurant. It's 2mins from where the boat drops you off and you can sit outside in such comfy chairs, lounge and soak up the sun and sights. I havn't been this chilled out in a long time! My food was so tasty, fresh and filling! We shared a bottle of wine recommended by the staff which was delicious. Also! They allow pets and to my pleasure I got to sit beside and meet a lovely Doggy! Day made! : Only 75kr from Stockholm city to the boat here! Amazing :

A day trip from Stockholm. We took 670 bus and it was easy as pie. Taking the sunset ferry back to Stockholm but in the meantime hanging out at amazing cafe. Amazing cake. The shrimp toast was very good too.

Can I just start by saying what a pleasure it is to get a nice hot cup of coffee ON THE HOUSE on a cold and dreary October day? I don't think I've ever been such a clueless American when ordering food as I was that day, but the ladies running Magasinet's café never ceased to charm and delight. Food probably tastes better when you have a smile on your face, but even if it doesn't the salmon and spinach quiche with side salad was great. The highlight of the meal, though, was the apple pie/tart: one of several homemade desserts and pastries covering a table in one corner of the café. I wish I could've tried them all. To top it all off, the café itself is inviting and tastefully decorated, with a view of the historic fort across the water through the large central window. What a great place!

After having been on a sailboat for days, this bistro was a welcome oasis of delicious, fresh food. I was very hungry when I arrived, and thought about ordering two items. The server told me not to, as the portions are big and she didn't exaggerate. The shrimp and avocado salad I ordered was so large, I couldn't finish it all. The menu description didn't do it justice,what with the addition of egg, watermelon, pomegranate seeds and other salad regulars. The restaurant is on a high terrace with a view of the castle, a perfect setting to enjoy a second glass of wine from their wine list. One thing to note is that you have to go to the bar to order, but this was not a problem and went smoothly and fast. Highly recommended!
