Restaurant Chez La Garde - Vauvenargues

Had a great time with my family there. the food is delicious, the service good and the prices correct. nothing you should expect from this restaurant to be disappointed.

We enjoyed our three long week visit to southern France. In addition to the scenery and history the food was wonderful. We stayed in Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde just east of Aix-en-Provence and ate four nights in chez La Garde in Vauvenargues. The food was wonderful, the restaurant...lovely, and we were made to feel like family. We regret that in our town there is not a single restaurant that can compare to it.

We approached this restaurant upon the recommendation of our hotel host, and we regretted it immediately. When we parked the car, there were a lot of people playing petanque, and we walked up to the counter. If eyes could kill, we'd be dead by now....As I introduced myself, in French (and French is a good second language for me) and asked if we could drink or eat something, the owner started to speak French to one of the guests, in a belligerent way, about me and didn't even speak to me! I suggest that, if your native language isn't French, you may only want to visit this place if you're ready for a verbal spanking!

The pizza are so delicious, the stuff are so friendly. I'm very understand that when we order pizza take longer time but I'm really don't understand we waiting for our coffees for 30 minutes, and after 30 minutes we ask where is our coffee?? So...hope they improved the service.

During a holiday trip we visited the Restaurant 3 times. We appreciated a lot the efforts of the Service, even that we don't speak french. Had great food, nice view.
