Trehantiri Taverna - Vathy

I was there early October this year with my family. Before I was there about 20 years ago. Back then this was the magic spot which melted all good things I love about Greece into one place. Now, twenty years later, I can still say out of my heart: It 's a wonderful place where you can breathe the pure spirit of Ithaci. . Also the food tastes just wonderful and the service is outstanding. The Restaurant itself is located in the small streets of Vathy within a beautiful little mall with a fantastic view onto a jewelry and other stores. There are tables inside and outside but you should take one outside if you are not in a hurry. The restaurant is reknown so be a but early if you don 't want to wait. If possible they even try to place additional tables. I recommend to take a look inside where you can still choose what to eat traditionaly, not by card but by fingerpointing at the most delicious thing that jumps into your eyes. The Food itself is wonderful, a dream. I 've already written it and I will write nothing more because there are no more words needed. Try it for yourself. The service is outstanding. Really outstanding. Not something a company would say about itself but something a demanding customer would. The speed and the elegance abide the speed are astonishing. That 's a reason for itself to visit this lovely place. And a reason for a good tip, these people deserve it.

What a nice and atmospheric place! It was raining a lot that day and we were lucky to get a place inside of this restaurant. We were immediately served. The food tasted nice, good quality products. The waiters work so hard there! Even though the power went out for 20 minutes, they still pulled through and came with lamps for the people not using their phone flashlight. It was some kind of romantic even. And even with all that chaos they still take time to talk to you. In the end we have got two nice shots of special liqueur. We regret not going there our second evening in Ithaka. But in future we'll definitely go back there!
