Ubuntu Canteen - Vancouver

Service was friendly and eating was delicious, but the kitchen was in a slower pace than I used to. reservations for 7:30 and we went there at 10:15, and not because we sat to chat for a long time after dinner. it was my friend's birthday, so we have soft food in the house, so it was nice!

Not exaggerating when I say that this was some of the best food of my life! I went for lunch and then ended up going back to dinner the next evening. Great coffee, pastries and natural wines to boot! Lovely staff as well. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Vancouver!

The place is pretty, cozy setting w plants and natural sunlight through a lot of window. Such a dreamy place to sit down for a coffee or glass of wine. They have an open kitchen so it gives the space a vibrant and active energy. The price is high, not cheap. Menu looks innovative and cool and I would come back to try more. I had a squash tagliatele but it looks like a pappardelle to me. The taste was interesting. One of the staff that helped me was friendly, another was just trying to get job done. By the wine glass not cheap, you supposed to ask for what available but when I asked.. there are only 1 available. If the restaurant is closed for many days of the week, should also carefully QC the opened wine bottle- should not do it in front of customers..

All the dishes i had, 7 of them were delicious. staff was amazing, so friendly and appreciative. i will definitely go back. i highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing dinner menu! I highly recommend their prix fixe menu for a good variety!If you come by in the day, great coffee and pastries to boot
