The Factory Restaurant & Lounge

We are from alberta. We live here now. The pirogies are $5. Bacon and sour cream. But they add a southwest sauce which keeps us coming back. Nice little patio on granville for people watching. Good seating at tables. Decent bar. Great staff. And some of the better bathrooms on granville street. All the food is $4.95 all day which should get you to stop in. The value will keep you coming back

The Sardine Factory for many years is the standard bearer of superb seafood and historic decor that is a tribute to the ownersTed Balesteri and Burt Cutino.I took longtime friends there who wanted to get a feel for what the famous steakhouse Ernie's in San Francisco. My late partner, the decorator Roy Hamlin, designed the center room of the Factory, called the Captain's Room with that institution inmind. It is an elegant room with American 19fb Century pier mirrors portraits of bygone captains, Victorian-themed wallpaper and carpeting. It is a a nod to a more leisurely and luxurious time. The entrees are superb, the octopus and salads are wonderful. It is that so much love and care has gone into making the Factory famous.

Tried it for the first time, not bad at all. Attractive clientele at the time, fast service, and stiff drinks. The food was hot and tasty. And of course the bill was delightful. Only slight issue is if your on the other side of the street, you barely realize the place is there. Will go back.

I've been here alot of times and I showed my friends this restaurant yesterday and they got surprised everything in the menu is $4.95 and it's a really cheap restaurant we all agreed to go back here soon

I was recommended this place by a friend and glad I went. Don't know how it would be on a weekend but we ate here on a Monday night and the service was fast and friendly. Everything on the menu was $4.95 which at first made me a little skeptical but everything was really good and was even good portions. The burger we got was slightly underwhelming, but for $4.95 and comes with fries who can complain. Everything else we tried; perogies, nachos, and wings, were all awesome! Very cool atmosphere and people as well. Will be back
