Bidrage med feedbackCame here for a simple lunch this place hit the spot. They have good lunch deals at $11 most come with a spring roll (accompanied with a light sweet chili sauce). You can choose how spicy you like your meals. Friendly fast sit-down service with good sized punch meal portions Very much a comfy place for solo sit-down eating too, but it does get busy during the lunch hour
This place is permanently closed. Don't know if it is because of COVID-19 or people stopped going to this place in sufficient numbers to be able to keep it operating or what. I guess Chef Grace's recipes are no longer the main reason why celebrities and other world travelers weren't coming to Simply Thai any longer. Anyway, it is gone for good.
I went to this place as my first meal in Vancouver just to grab a quick bite. The menu is a good size and I was able to add tofu instead of meat to all the options. There were plenty of tables open and I was able to sit outside. The servers were very attentive and available. I ordered the pad see ew with tofu which I frequently order at Thai restaurants. I noticed it had a good black pepper flavor and the tofu was alright but nothing special. The only thing I didn't love was the portion was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I am used to American sized portions so I'm not sure if I have abnormal expectations but I typically feel like Thai food is usually good for 2 meals. The prices weren't terrible and it came with a spring roll which was tasty. The service was the best part and they let me stay longer as I waited for my air bnb.
Pretty solid standard Thai food. Their hours are somewhat limited and have disappointed more than once. If you order takeout, ask them to read it back to you. There was a significant mistake in my last order that was probably just language barrier.
This is probably the most convenient location for me to go eat Thai food. It's great for takeout, finding a last minute reservation, and parking. 1) usually I get the pad seew which always hits the spot. Tonight I decided to try something different- red curry with beef, tom yum soup, and sautéed scallop. Everything was really really salty and sweet. I would probably just come back for pad seew in the future... 2) service was great. She was attentive and quick to refill our water. 3) portions are kind of small, although with the amount of rice we needed to eat to counteract the sodium, we left with full stomach.
