Bidrage med feedbackJust ordered uber eats from here , beef stew and house special pho. Beef stew only had carrots and beef, no greens, no onions, and the beef was hard as bricks(cannot believe it). Ended up throwing that away. House special had nothing special, soup was oily then I remember it to be. My wife ate cause she was starving. I ended up making a sandwich. Overally , honestly. I'm disappointed.
Pho Tai Nam is rich and comforting, spring rolls are crunchy and delicious. Our go-to spot every weekend with friendly staff and a variety of classic Vietnamese dishes.
First off, service is friendly. None of the staff is grumpy and they are all smiles. Their favorite question to customers though, did you go PNE? I guess lots of customers come here for food after PNE. We ate in. One weird thing to note is, they put the kids boosters on the floor in the female washroom. That's kinda gross. The ventilation of the place could also be improved. Felt a bit stuffy and hot. Now, for the food, the beef brisket in the stew is so lean that it's so tough and dry. The lemongrass chicken in the soup, did not really have a pow lemongrass grilled flavor. Had better elsewhere. The plus is, the place has good pricing. Overall, not overly bad.
Ordered my go to, shrimp salad roll, which was good but not their dipping sauce. Wasn’t peanut butter-like, like the Chopsticks on Pho one.But pretty good pho for the area.
Haven't been here in over 5 yearsPho is very different from the past. The broth is much darker and more flavourful. I love it. It's not the same as John's legendary broth from Bau Chau, however, it's of the same style.Noodles and coffee are fantastic, no dramas.Spring rolls are the traditional Vietnamese style, rather large with the fish sauce on the side.Overall, very happy. Might be my new regular spot after going to bau Chau for 25+ yearsUpdate : They have rooster sauce, a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants are out that alone is worth the visit!
