Bidrage med feedbackAnother long day at work. Fortunately we found a baby sitter for Etch. We stopped at the Harbour. The drinks were yummy. One complaint the Mrs had was the white wine was not served in a wine glass. The oysters were fresh and yummy. The horseradish freshly grated. I do not use sauces. The Apex, Sun Seekers and Chef Creek oysters were awesome! The mussels were done well in the white wine garlic sauce. The lobster prawn roll may have taken away the first place position Catch?s lobster roll has occupied for year?s in my tummy! The vanilla creme brule is a sweet deal to end the meal. I look forward to coming here again!
Wow it?s really overpriced poor service. Being cool and casual doesn?t necessarily mean lack of service but somehow it went that way with this place. First of all, It was Hard to see each oyster?s price?on the menu, it only says 3 (not happy hour) so we tried 2 of each 6 different type of oyster and that being said, we paid $96 for 12 oysters, means $4per oyster. IF Only our server explained about !the price! We wouldn?t be this surprised And we also ordered bacon wrapped scallops.. basically 3 scallops for 20 bucks..it?s simply rubbish for price point.. he didn?t warn us about it AT ALL. I could get same quality scallops from Asian market and cook it under $10.. Seriously 20 bucks for 3 small scallops with bacon..? It is madness ? also we ordered fish and chips and we already having chips so asked about sub salad and he asked ?caesar or green ?? so we said caesar and he charged $3 extra on our bill?i mean, you didn?t mention anything about extra charge..and on the menu it doesn?t say extra $3 for sub salad.. at this point we just feel like it was whole rip off.. I truly hope no one makes the same mistake like we did.. I visited here to have a good time, casual but still makes good sense of quality food and service but overall, food was ok and overpriced and less explanations on menu and price.. even tho we told our server it was our first time being here and my partner?s first time trying oysters..so I don?t think I will ever comeback.
We ordered Lobster poutine with fried oyster. They were Fresh and tasty. Then for the main we had those amazing lobster shrimp roll. Would love to go back!!!
Harbour Oyster Bar has $2.00 happy hour oysters everyday from 11:00am to 5:00pm). We shared a couple of dishes: Lobster poutine $19.00) Happy hour clams $14.00) Happy hour oysters $2.00 each) oysters of the day were Chef Creek. Came with lemon wedges, horseradish and two condiments cocktail sauce and mignonette). Slightly briny but mild in flavour. Decent spot to grab happy hour oysters.
Had a craving for fried oysters recently and decided to try out Harbour (so difficult to find a place that makes good fried oysters). Located on The Drive, they have a happy hour menu that starts at 11am (hello $2 oysters on the half shell). While we were originally planning to have fried oysters, we decided to go for the pan seared instead and I'm glad we did. Nice light panko crust. Oyster Rockefeller were good too. Small oysters but bacon, shallots, spinach, and cheese? Come on! The unexpected surprise was how good the crab cakes were. I've had lots of crab cakes that turn out dry but the ones here were nice and moist on the inside.
