Pura Vida Beach Bar & Restaurant

As I stayed at the Pura Vida Hostel which I liked very much, I also tried the Restaurant next door. I can specially recommend the freshly made Juices in the morning! :)

If you're looking for a spotless clean restaurant, than Vama Veche is not for you. Been here in the mid September, ordered a cup of espresso and went to the toilet. Holly smoke, the toilet was filthy, even according to the Vama Veche standards! I came back to the table to drink my espresso, I asked for the bill and gone. The espresso was good and the view from the terrace was very nice, as the place is located straight on the beach. I don't want to judge a book by its cover, but if the toilet is that dirty, the kitchen could not be very clean either.

We visited this place as a bar and first time ever in my life I heard Gogol Bordello in a bar without asking for one of their songs. That is an ultimate plus for me and we had a great, even though slightly alcohol-influenced party that night :-)

Very nice setting for couples hanging out. The music is very nice and the prices are okay. I love the overall atmosphere and I always come back here with a smile on my face.

Great beach bar, nice chill out music, great cocktails. We have spent a good few hours here in a torrid late morning and have enjoyed it a lot. The place appears to be run by some family and friends who look they've worked in corporations till recently, and they really do their best to make it work.Haven't tried the food, but the bar is great.
