Bidrage med feedbackOne of the best places to eat in Vama Veche. The food was really good every time we went there: self-service food quite OK, the cauldron goulash made in the midle of the terrace was very good, and the fish / seafood on the hot stove was always fresh and tasty. For lunch you have to go get your own food (either from the self-service queue or from the cauldrons outside), and for dinner they have waiters that are always very friendly. Also, the view to the sea is a nice addon.
I like the food here but it is usually very crowded. The people are friendly but they are very busy running up and down so it happens to have your order mixed up. But in the end everything gets solved. It offers god value for the money.
Besides the fact that they have a very diverse menu, what we (my wife and I) love about the food here is that it seems cooked with soul. Every year we come here at least once per summer to enjoy their lamb and seafood, our favorites.
The cauldron cooked food is great, the fish is great but what really made Soni special for me is his "zacusca" which is one of my favourite dishes and it's by far the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant. I also had a very good quesadilla.
It started some many years ago with some very simple arrangements, in the Vama Veche spirit, but now the business has expanded and to my taste, it got somewhat 'industrial'.But still, you can enjoy it, they have a very wide variety of foods, including freshly fried on the hot stove in front of you, or soups boiled in big pots.Food is fresh and of good quality, so nothing to complain. As well, there are many live concerts organised there and the place seems to be a regular spot for folk/ rock groups.
